OH FYO! have developed further and will be climbing the next level of their band history
with their new album „Level 3: Discovery“ from 24.02.2023. Since the middle of 2022, the North German pop duo has been releasing one hit single after the next from their album and is now finally presenting the complete work of art, which also has a few surprises in store for fans of the first hour.
„Pay Me“ is an energetic pop song that OH FYO! wrote during the first lockdown. We all went through that time and experienced that oppressive and scary feeling. „Pay Me“ made it to the Top 25 – selection of the German preliminary round for the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin, where it managed to convince some fans, industry experts and critics.
Everyone knows them: the daily stumbling blocks of life, the big and small ups and downs of everyday routine. You can get upset about it and give up, or do it the way Flix sings about it full of confidence in „Falling On My Face“: Get up, learn from it and move on. After all, things always turn out differently than you think.
„Let Me Down Again“ is a groovy uptempo song and, in keeping with the retro-dance – fitting with the retro dance vibe – about dealing with bad habits and the connection between them and those who try to break them. It’s never too late. Just start.
With „Lullaby“, OH FYO! strike very soft notes never heard from them before. The song lives up to its name. A quiet, unobtrusive, but nevertheless beautiful piano sound carpet caresses the lyrics, which gently lead you into the land of dreams. When your day has taken all joy from you and still doesn’t want to let go – Think of what made you smile last, and hold this thought until the morning drives away the night.
Many people know the feeling of inner emptiness. Where the fire was still burning the other day, where you were looking forward to things, where you felt joy in life, there is suddenly only the great nothingness.
In „Black Hole“, Flix tells the story of this topic, which is often glossed over or played down, in a way that is both empathetic and hard-hittingly honest and to the point. „Black Hole“ is an alternative pop number that gets that certain kick with driving hip hop beats.
